Composite Resin Manhole Covers
Moulded composite resin covers for chambers where cast iron's weight or scrap value is a problem: residential areas, parks, car parks and utility trenches. Sealed designs keep odours in and surface water out. This line is produced by our partner factory and quality-checked by Hongcheng before dispatch.
Suitability follows the manufacturer's rating for each size and build (pedestrian / light vehicle / road traffic). Composite covers are not listed under the cast-iron load-class codes on this page — tell us the location and traffic, and we confirm the right build before quoting.

Material & Structure
Moulded Composite, Sealed Design
The cover and frame are moulded from resin composite: the face carries an anti-slip pattern, and the underside is a grid of ribs that gives the cover its stiffness at a fraction of cast iron's weight — one person can lift sizes that would need two in iron.
The standard design is sealed: cover and frame close tightly, which keeps odours from escaping and surface water from entering — the reason composite covers are common over residential and utility chambers. A double-layer build adds an inner sealed cover for odour-sensitive locations.

Composite or cast iron — how do I choose?
Choose composite where weight, sealing or theft is the concern: residential areas, parks, car parks, utility and cable chambers. Choose ductile iron for main carriageways and the heaviest traffic. Tell us the location and we will recommend honestly — we sell both.
What sizes are available?
Round sealed covers run from Ø300×30 to Ø1000×70 (diameter × cover thickness); square sealed covers from 200×300×30 up to 800×1000, including cable-trench formats. Send your size and we match the build.
What does 'sealed' and 'double-layer anti-odour' mean?
A sealed cover closes tightly against its frame, limiting odour escape and water ingress. The double-layer build adds a second, inner sealed cover — used where odour control matters most, for example near housing.
How much traffic can a composite cover take?
It depends on the size and build: the manufacturer's range runs from pedestrian builds up to heavy builds rated for main roads and fire lanes. Give us the location and traffic and we will confirm the correct build — we do not guess ratings.
